Resources

Below are some of the resources we find helpful in our work with young people at school, home and camp. Included are some books that we use as starting off points for conversations about race, disability and gender.

<< Anti-Racism Work>>

  • CNN Sesame Street Racism Town Hall - The Sesame Street Town Hall might lose younger kids with its news format, but it models clear and useful language for adults to start speaking honestly with children about racism.

  • Chalkbeat for Educators - Practical advice from NYC school professionals about how to do anti-racist work with young people in a respectful and developmentally appropriate manner.

  • Teaching Tolerance - Lesson plans, articles and interviews about dismantling oppression in schools.

  • Embrace Race - well-organized site with great articles, book lists and stories on engaging with young people around race.
