Registration for Summer 2019 is OPEN!

Each session of Alamander Camp begins with a springboard topic. For younger campers, we draw inspiration from a material, like cloth, wood or clay. Older campers explore themes including Comic Books, Tiny Worlds, and Flea Market.  Each topic is broad enough to allow varied entry points, so kids can access work that interests them individually and find success in collaboration.  Every week includes daily park trips and lots of time for free play.

  • Mini Camp: June 27th and 28th

  • Week long sessions: July 1 to August 23rd

  • Ages 3 to 11

  • $465/ week from 8:30am to 3pm

  • Extended Day available until 6pm for $25 daily

Our youngest campers(pre-k) will investigate the physical world around them as they make art, play imaginative games, explore sensory activities and more.

Our middle campers (k and 1st) will be introduced to fun and compelling themes based on the neighborhood and local community. Counselors will offer campers art and literacy based activities, and are practiced at find ways for the interests and excitement of campers to lead the way.

2nd and Up

The themes for our oldest group (2nd grade and up) are quirky, creative and fun. Campers will spend the week focused on a theme but will also have lots of time to explore what they already love to do.

Specialty Camps are the stuff kid's dream of!

This summer we are excited to offer Princess Camp and Superhero Camp! Campers will explore their interests while developing new ways of thinking and creating. Each day includes lots of time for play both indoors and outdoors, art projects, and self directed choice time. The week will conclude with a culminating event inspired and led by your creative kids!

Princess Camp

Campers of all genders will create a majestic world together while exploring feminism and gender identity in a play-filled way that embraces their interests. We'll be inspired by powerful female-identifying people from around the world and create our own definition of what makes a princess.  We'll embrace the idea that everyone should be able to be who they want to be, and we'll embrace it with lots of sequins and tulle.

Session 3 Princess Camp: July 8-12, 2019

Session 7 Princess Camp: August 5-9 2019

Campers will spend the week developing their own superhero identities, playing games, and solving mysteries. As a group, we will examine comic books and real life heroes to expand our ideas about what superheroes can do and what they can look like.

Session 5 Super Hero Camp: July 22-26, 2019
