Registration for Summer 2018 is Open!
Each session of Alamander Camp begins with a springboard topic. For younger campers, we draw inspiration from a material, like cloth, wood or clay. Older campers explore themes including Comic Books, Tiny Worlds, and Flea Market. Each topic is broad enough to allow varied entry points, so kids can access work that interests them individually and find success in collaboration. Every week includes daily park trips, lots of time for free play, and a fun NYC excursion.
1 week sessions from June 25th to August 31st
Ages 3 to 11
$450/ week from 8:30am to 3pm (early bird discount $400/week until March 15th)

Specialty Camps are the stuff kid's dream of!
This summer we are excited to offer Princess Camp, Superhero Camp, Lego Camp and Magic Camp. Campers will explore their interests while developing new ways of thinking and creating. Each day includes lots of time for play both indoors and outdoors, art projects, and self directed choice time. The week will conclude with a culminating event planned and led by your creative kids!
July 9th to 13th for Ages 4 to 6
Campers of all genders will create a majestic world together while exploring feminism and gender identity in a play-filled way that embraces their interests. We'll be inspired by powerful female-identifying people from around the world and create our own definition of what makes a princess. We'll embrace the idea that everyone should be able to be who they want to be, and we'll embrace it with lots of sequins and tulle.
July 16th to 20th for Ages 8 to 11
Campers will spend the week immersed in the world of chocolate. Through hands on experiences, we will learn about the history of chocolate, experiment with recipes, learn about Fair Trade chocolate and more!
We will enjoy lots of time playing at the park, have opportunities to engage in self-directed projects and take a field trip to a Brooklyn based chocolate factory.
July 23rd to 27th for Ages 4 to 6
Campers will spend the week developing their own superhero identities, playing games, and solving mysteries. As a group, we will examine comic books and real life heroes to expand our ideas about what superheroes can do and what they can look like.
August 6th to 10th for Ages 5-7
We cordially invite all magic enthusiasts to enter the world of Alamander Camp for Young Magical People. Experiments and imagination abound this week as campers create potions, craft magical creatures, and design their own costumes. We will also spend time exploring magic throughout history and in different cultures.
August 13th to 17th for ages 6 to 9
LEGO camp is back for its third year taught by LEGO artist extraordinaire Adam Ward.
LEGO week is all about challenge and creativity. Each day, campers will be presented with a fun LEGO challenge, ranging from stop motion animation to creature creation to building bridges. We'll use these classic toys to inspire art and playful collaboration.
