Where is Alamander Camp?
Alamander Camp is located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. We make our home in the Brooklyn Free School, near the G and C trains.
Our address is 372 Clinton Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11238.
What are camp hours?
The normal camp day is fro 8:30am-3pm. We offer an Extended Day program until 6pm for $20 daily.

What is the Daily Schedule?
Here is a sample schedule. Each day is subject to change based on camper needs, interest, weather, and project time. One day each week is reserved for a field trip.

Do you accept kids for early drop off?
We do not currently have an early drop-off program. We do have counselors at camp from 8am, however, so if you need early drop off, please get in touch and we will try to make something work for your family.
What should my child bring to camp?
Please send your child to camp with: a change of clothes in a labeled gallon freezer bag that will stay at camp, a water bottle, sunscreen on each day (we will reapply as needed), and a packed lunch and a snack each day.
On field trip days it's helpful for campers to bring their lunches in a paper bag so counselors can help carry them and dispose of them when they are finished.
My young child is still napping at school. Is there an opportunity for a nap at camp?
There is no specific nap time at camp. Campers ages 3-7 will have quiet time after lunch, and occasionally campers have napped during this time.
Is there a sibling discount?
Alamander families receive a 10% discount when enrolling more than one camper. Use the discount code SIBLING10 to apply this to your purchase!
How do I know if am eligible for reduced tuition?
You can apply for adjusted tuition on our Alamander for Everyone page.
Families are eligible for adjusted tuition of they are enrolled in any of the following federal programs:
- Food Stamps (SNAP Food Benefits)
- Welfare or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)

Who is Alamander After School for?
Alamander After School is for kids ages 3-9
What are the hours of Alamander After School?
Alamander runs daily from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
What will my child's afternoon be like?
We strive to make Alamander After School a safe, engaging and enriching experience for your children after a long day at school! We begin the afternoon by playing outside in the local playground (or inside depending on the weather). When we get back to the Brooklyn Free School, our older students (age 6+) will explore the activity of the day while our younger students (nearly 4 to 6) will have the opportunity to experiment with different art, sensory, and building materials.

We offer pick up from the following schools:

- Arts & Letters
Why are the prices different depending on the day?
The price for After School is $30 a day. We take in to account holidays and school closings which is why the prices vary based on the day of the week!
