Alamander For Everyone

At Alamander, we are committed to making sure that every family can access a progressive, child-centered, creative summer program for their child.

To do so, we use an honor system sliding-scale tuition model where tuition is based on a family’s gross monthly income. We recognize that there are financial barriers that may not be reflected in monthly income. Additionally, there are families that have access to other means to pay for camp.  Please consider all of this when choosing your tuition bracket.

Use the chart below to help determine the cost of camp for your family and fill out this form before registering. Please note we have a certain amount of spots at each bracket which are first come first serve.

Over the last 6 years we’ve built a camp that is truly child-centered and community focused:

  • We have prioritized the inclusion and celebration of kids of all abilities and backgrounds.

  • We have provided more than $75,000 in free or reduced-tuition camp to qualified families.

  • We have made anti-racist, gender inclusive, and anti-ablest training essential for our team and our daily curriculum, materials and encounters are created and evaluated according to this work.

  • Our staff are incomparably warm, experienced and well-compensated.

  • We have kept our prices low and our camper-to-counselor ratio high by renting space from a non-profit with an aligning mission (Brooklyn Free School) and keeping recycled materials as our central art medium.

All this has been possible because we have a community that shares our values and wants this program, and for that we are so grateful.

Thank you so much for your support.
